Enjoy a short hike thru the woods along the deer path in back of the cabin . Walk softly in the morning or evening, and you are likely to surprise any number of woodland varmints using the creek and trail. We have personally seen turkey, deer(by the dozens), raccon, fox, and coyote using the trail. The trail is on the Army Corps of Engineers flood control land that has been set aside for the enjoyment of all . Hiking, fishing, and boating, are all permitted in the meadow, creek, and woods surrounding the cabin.
